Hurricane Sandy Takes New Jersey by Storm…Literally!

By now, all of you have heard about Superstorm Sandy that ravaged New Jersey and New York City.  My thoughts and prayers go to the families of lost ones and for families still struggling to feed their families and fuel their generators.I to, was hit by Sandy and I was without power for most of the week.  Luckily my power came back on late Friday night but have yet to get heat.  I’m not complaining though.  There were a lot less fortunate than me in the surrounding areas.  Currently, gas is a big problem in my area.  The lines are 50 cars long and there is no electricity to power 65 % of gas stations with gas.

I’m planning to work remotely until the subways and trains are running to and from New York once more.  I’m spending time catching up with projects and keeping warm.  It’s extraordinary how much we depend on power and our electronic devices.  I have vowed to become less dependent on TV and computers! Wait, but it’s computers that creates a living for me.  Well, forget the computer part but at least I can learn to live without the televison…right?.
